A-JR · About

Urban industrial
indie folk.

I'm just your ordinary everyday guy, defining myself as a songwriter. I love the feeling I get when I hit the last note — I can hear the cheer of the crowd, people cheering for the song I wrote from my soul. Performing live is like undressing your soul to the world.

I'm not out to touch a nerve, but to reach someone in a minimalist way — so quietly they barely know what's hitting them, until they re-listen and catch something a little more personal. To me, that's the ultimate compliment. It means the song managed to whisper to another person's soul rather than harass it.

Lights in the Sky

My debut EP — five songs that sat on a hard drive in my spare room for the best part of ten years before I found the confidence to put them out. Includes the bonus demos Alex, Confession and The Last Train.
